From the Present:
As you may have read from a previous journal entry, catching, skinning, cooking and eating snakes was deeply embedded into the culture of my childhood.
Well, (and this was very good news for the snakes), I didn’t always eat the. Sometimes they were pets. And sometimes they escaped in my house and no one every heard from them again and I still wonder whatever became of them. Did the dogs eat them? I’ll just never know.
