From the Present:

When people ask me what it was like growing up in my family, I ussually tell them it was like being in a school bus filled with seven year olds hopped up on meth seated next to rabid grizzlie bear who is battling an angry rhino while speeding 150mph down a dirt road headed for a cliff. Simply put, it was crazy.

Having seven brothers(two of which were adopted from Kenya) and two sisters, all of whom had very strong personalities and very loud voices, and often a menagerie of pets, which at its peak included a dozen ducks, turtles, frogs, a lizard, three dogs, two cats, rescued (pronounced stolen from their mother’s nest) birds and a gold fish with a horrible temper and predilection for violence, led to a fair share cockamamie pandaemonium.

All of the absurd insanity almost led to the death of my lizard Spike… But Spike survived and lived to die another day (Every time I forgot to feed my pets and they died, I learned a bit of responsibility).

From the Past:

March, 3rd 1996 – Age 10

Today we turned some eggs we are hatching. I printed a few things on the computer. Yesterday my cat Boots almost killed my lizard Spike.
