From the Present: 

It’s appropriate that this entry comes up so near to the one year anniversary of the 2Points4Honesty project.

So first off: Happy Birthday to 2Points4Honesty.com!

It’s been a good year. In the last twelve months I’ve gone through a decade of journal entries, posted them for whomever stumbles upon the site, and though there have been times I thought about scrapping the whole thing, I’m glad I’m doing this.

My original intention was to keep this site a secret from anyone who knew me in my immediate life. And for the most part I have. But for reasons I still can’t figure out, this site comes up when my name is Google’d. So despite my best efforts, a few people who know me off the web have stumbled into this site. But that’s okay too I guess.

If this project has taught me anything, it’s taught me that it’s okay to be who you are. It’s okay to have weaknesses and fears and bad days just like it’s okay to have good days and strength and confidence. We’re all just human and we’re all in this together.

Sept. 2, 2001 – Age 16

I guess no one really writes a journal to remember things.

That’s what they tell themselves they are writing it for. But really, they imagine that after they’re gone someone is going to read it and understand things about them.

Oh we are so afraid of death.

I hope this cancer isn’t contagious.
