February 7th, 2002
Today I opened my eyes.
I saw nothing I have not seen before.
I stood up and walked on no new ground.
I went to the same school I have always gone to.
I talked to the same people I talk to everyday.
I came home at the same time.
And I went to bed in the same bed I always go to bed in.
But today was different from any other day.
There has never been and never will be a day like today.
In today I have found something new.
In today I have lived, and for this I am glad.
Now as I go to sleep, I know I will do nothing new tomorrow. I will see nothing I haven’t seen before. But I will still wait for tomorrow, knowing that it will be priceless.
